I was looking at the Mitsubishi Outlander, it doesn’t feel like an overpriced SUV compared to other car brands, is it a good SUV?, never really heard anything wrong with them, looking maybe into a 2024 one. How reliable are they? What could be their downsides?

Pass on it. The CVTs are the weak spot and it will not hold up overtime.
