I have a 2008 Lexus RX400H and so after many misdiagnoses and lots of money into repairs I came across your video on changing the motor mounts, noises you shouldn’t ignore was the name of one of the videos. You are mechanic who actually appears to know what he’s doing and great at explaining how to fix. Unfortunately I’m a semi-disabled senior grandma and have to hire a mechanic, so my question is “how many hours labor should it take to replace all the motor mounts”? I was just quoted 9.5 hours PER mount! That can not be right! I watched you take one out of the same car as mine but idk how long it actually took. So I also want to ask you, also “how many mounts are there in my motor”? I know there’s a right, left and torque strut mount, what are the other 2? I bought the new parts it came with 5 pieces. Please help I’m on a fixed income and they have already fixed the cv axles telling me that was the original problem costing me. Then I’m hearing it the front struts and then I’m hearing the differential….uuggh I’m going with motor mounts because I can hear the noise when I start the car and put it in gear, you can see the motor rock and shift it to reverse and it moves again. It’s half hybrid so giving it gas doesn’t work in gear unless it’s cold and then maybe for a minute on park. Anyway I’m willing to pay to have it fixed but come on! 9.5 hours per mount and you have to pull the motor??? I’m having a problem believing that! Am I wrong or being taken to the bank? Thanks in advance for your help.

It took me awhile to find this page again, but that's what happens when your getting older LOL anyway, thank you so much for your response, I did end up finding another guy I trusted who completed the job around 3 but I don't know what time he started since I had dropped my car off the night before, DOESN'T really matter, YOU were right...it was less than 9.5 hours for installing 3 motor mounts an 2 transmission mounts and saved me a WHOLE LOT OF MONEY!!! and I mentioned your name, they were not too happy that I had got advice from you....BBBAAAWWWHH I watched so many of your videos and love your YouTube channel. Keep doing what your doing and this old lady will keep driving.

9.5 hours per mount. WHAT! it should only take 1-2 hours if the mechanic knows what they're doing at the longest maybe 3 hours for one. So maybe at the longest 9 hours in total but it shouldn't really even take that long. The price range should also be around $200 - $400 depending on how hard it is to get to and remove not really familiar with where exactly the motor mounts are for a Lexus RX400H. Hope you find a good mechanic.
