Scotty, I have a 1995 Honda Gold wing A 1500. I hope you take MC questions. The bike runs great but when I decelerate and then accelerate or try to cruise at about 1/4 throttle it sputters. I forgot to mention the bike is carbureted, not fuel injected. Hope you have a possible solution. Thanks.
A bike that old needs to have the carbs rebuilt with the new Viton green o rings that won't disintegrate with the ethanol in fuel. I suspect that your float bowls are full of crud and the float needle seats are gummed up and the float levels are way off by now. Jets and passages need a thorough cleaning too.
Sounds like the idle circuit. Usually is the first carburetor circuit to be restricted due to fuel contamination since it has the smallest fuel jets.
Good call. If you're going to clean the idle circuit, you might as well do all of them.
