Can I run my propane generator on natural gas

is house   natrual gas     same as   lgp propane  in the tank?       can i hook up with house natural  gas     run my  generator (dual system)     if it went out of power?        i live in nj                nj  natural  gas    .  thx

Yeah, I had to install a different air/fuel mixing nozzle to convert my barbecue from propane to natural gas, and barbecues are way less sensitive than engines.

That said, if I had a generator, I would definitely set it up to run on natural gas - unless you have an earthquake, you don't have to worry so much about running out of fuel. My natural gas barbecue cooked food for my whole neighborhood for a few days after a hurricane in 2012 or thereabouts.

Yes, but you must change the jets,  Natural gas is coming out at about 5 psi, while propane is a much higher pressure, between 100 and 200 psi.
