My 2007 chevy avalanche will not crank or start.

My Avalanche has 200+K miles on it and I am getting no crank no start problems now. Last time this happened I tighten my + battery cable and the problem was resolved. (Alternator..battery...starter..ignition switch are all new parts)

My scan tool cannot communicate with ECM. What can I do to start my truck?

Should check the 40 amp fuse  #65

I have checked the 40 amp fuse. No problem there. Does no engine light mean anything? When I turn the key to the on position the engine light does not come on

You would have to check for 12v  at #16 and ground at #4    But thats only power..dosen't mean your scanner will see DATA necessarily.

I have had this same problem with a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. I found it to be a Crankshaft Position Sensor. The check engine light will not be on if this is the problem, since the computer has no way of knowing if the crankshaft is actually spinning if the sensor is malfunctioning.

Or it could be as simple as a malfunction in the wiring draining the battery overnight and you simply have a dead battery.

Thanks Eddie.. Luckily I have a crankshaft position sensor.. I just didn't want to have to replace it because it is now winter... Womp womp wommmppp

Battery Alternator Starter starter ignition switch are all brand new. Has to be wiring problem or crack shaft issue right?
