Didn't notice anything in particular, maybe slow upshift at low speeds, but other wise seems good.

Shift Solenoid "D" issues

Should I change the trans fluid /and or replace the solenoid? both? oem or aftermarket?

-Thanks

I would try both with OEM parts and prey that fixes it and if it doesn't I personally would just live with it as long as it was drivable

Scotty,
Per your advice I replaced the solenoid with Toyota OEM, the old one tested high ohms. I replaced trans filter and o ring, measured the amount of trans fluid that came out and replaced it with fresh Toyota WS fluid (5.1 quarts or so).

Hardest part was getting to the trans pan bolts behind the frame rails. Jacking up the trans and loosening mounts helped out a bit. also a bit tricky keeping the new pan gasket in place while reinstalling. I put in a few bolts and held them in place with strong magnets, that kept the gasket from shifting.

The fix seems to be holding up- been about 1000 miles since it was done and no more codes.

Thanks!
