My 2018 Subaru Outback 2.5i has 72,000 mile and just got a cam carrier/Valve cover leak
Can I send a letter to Subaru for help with the cost of the repair? What is a good way to contact the company?
Also can I mention your show when I ask the company for help?
Thanks ... Bill

You can. Of course they may not help.

Their web site should have contact information.

You can mention Scotty of course but there's no guarantee they'll care. I'd go easy on your first contact with them, just lay out the problem and ask if they can help. If they refuse then it's time to put on the gorilla suit.
A drawback of the boxer engine is this kind of repair is much more difficult than on the more common inline type. Also in recent years Subaru has been using glue instead of gaskets in many areas of the engine and the glue will tend to deteriorate faster than a gasket would. Valve covers may well be one of those places where glue was used.

I think I would start with a phone call to feel them out.
Make sure you read up on the fine print of your warranty so you know precisely what is covered and what isn't.
