It's a 27 years old car and sits in the garage most of times.

If it sits a lot it could be that some surface rust has formed on the rotors. It could also be that the pads are worn.

Hey! This could be due to multiple things. I would first check the pads and rotors. You mentioned it sits a lot, could be surface rust!
