test the starter relay

First i would make sure you are getting voltage to the starter (the thick cable on the starter) as well as the smaller wires for the solenoid. If you have no voltage on the thick cable, trace it and inspect for cracks/scorch marks. But it is more likely that you are not getting voltage to the solenoid. Which (like what mountainmanjoe said) is most likely going to be the relay,  but also can be your ignition switch. The relay is the easiest to change so I would try that before changing the switch.
