You didn't say how long the trip is going to be (where you're driving from) or the mileage on the car. Basically you would want to check everything. See that the fan belt is in good condition and there are no unusual noises from anywhere. Check the tire condition and pressure, check coolant level, check oil. If going on a really long trip maybe change the oil before leaving and after returning. If the engine uses oil carry some extra with you and top it up it rest stops as needed. Have the battery and alternator load tested. If the car has a CVT consider having the fluid changed if that has not been already done as as part of routine maintenance.

Two necessities, water and toilet paper.

Replace gearbox oil in advance,

Take it on the highway in advance to see that there's nothing out of the expected,

Open the hood and look at the accessory belt, engine oil, coolant level, brake fluid level - just the regular.

Get a battery tester and see if the battery is still good.

Modern cars are generally more reliable, I usually don't check anything on my cars when I go on 200-300 mile road trips.

You still have atleast 4 more months to go.. A LOT can happen in that time. But maybe check the battery (if it’s still the original one) and even replace it, if the load test shows that it’s weak. Also tyres, check for dry rot and general condition, like Chuck suggested.
