[Solved] Name Brand Or Cheapest Off Brand Parts?

Hey Scotty, after you recent video covering how car manufacturers have a monopoly on replacement parts I was curious if I should buy name brand replacement parts or the cheapest? You mentioned the parts are made by the same manufactures. I need to replace the oxygen pumps on my 2008 Toyota Tundra V8 (common issue), I can spend $400+ per pump from Denso, or $175 from Dorman. Which do you suggest?

For vital and/or hard to get to components, I try to go with genuine (Toyota) or oem (like Denso). Never the cheap stuff.

For trivial and super duper easy to get to components, I may go the cheaper route, if it is a significant savings.

Never buy the cheapest. You get what you pay for. Buy a reputable brand.

No, they're not. And definitely not the same as the cheapest ones.

100% get the Denso. You don't want to cheap out on things like pumps. You don't want to be doing the job again. Buy once, cry once. Denso is good OEM quality stuff. Dorman is garbage.
