2009 Pontiac vibe base 1.8 auto 140000 miles. Hanging wire in front of radiator attaches to a bracket to a bar underneath radiator. It’s dangling loose trying to reattach but I don’t know what it’s called. It’s between radiator and the bumper skirt.

That looks like an ambient air temp sensor.

it could be many things. Crash sensor. Temperature sensor...
Did you scan it for trouble codes?

No codes thrown no performance issues. Just want to figure what it is

May just be loose due to weak wiring harness if not throwing any codes.

The car is wired for fog lights... if you don't have fog lights, it might be the connector to use should you wish to add them.
