Help Scotty. I have a 2009 Pontiac Vibe with a used 1.8 litre engine with 125,000 kms. Every once in awhile it has a hard time starting. When I turn the key, I can let go of the key and it stays in the start position and still cranks for about 10 seconds. When it starts normally, it doesn’t do that...only when it doesn’t want to start. Is it the Ignition switch?
Parts I have replaced: Battery, starter, spark plugs, ignition coils, fuel injectors and MAF sensor. When it’s running, it runs great, lots of power. My daughter uses the car for College and she’s 3 hours away. I can’t help her when the car won’t start. Please help.
Thank you
Your guess is correct. Your ignition switch needs to be replaced. Scotty has a video on that.
Replaced the ignition switch and it’s still doing the same thing. Any more ideas?
