Ive asked a few days ago if napa parts were good and most of the responses said they are. Does anyone know if there re-manufactured products are any good? E.g. power steering rack?
Honestly wouldn’t get a re man anything anymore. Used to be better QC than it is now a days. Just buy new and you’ll be happy you did.
Best to buy new. The price gap isn't much and on something like a steering rack you only want to go through the install once.
Napa has been around for at least 50 years. The don't make anything. The buy from reputable parts suppliers and put there name on the stuff. I have had good results with NAPA parts. They tend to be higher in prices but your paying for convenience. They tended to be in more rural areas where there are no other auto parts places so they have a captive audience. Still the prices are somewhere between the discount mail order houses like Rock Auto and car dealers. I don't know how they are these days but they had a good network where by if they did not have a part in stock they could get it with in a day.
