- Hey scotty, I was wondering how much more life I could possibly get out of my Subaru. It's the base model, naturally aspirated, 09, Subaru legacy, 4 EAT automatic. It has 142,560 miles on it. Bought it at 100k timing belt and head gaskets done at 100k. Picked it up for 6 k when I got it

Depends really take care of it and drive it till either the Jatco transmission goes out or a major engine issue pops up. Generally they can last 200k+ miles but if its an interference engine make sure to change to timing belt.

That car could potentially reach 300k mi if you baby it.
