Need a new Battery?

I have a 2012 Ford Edge with 87,500 miles. The Battery (A Ford Brand Replacement) is about 2 years old. I tested the Battery (RESTING) it tested 12.63 Volts. When i tested it while starting the car, it dropped to 9.76 volts, before reading 14.23 while the engine was running. I live in South Fla. and when it gets cold (Ha....Ha 🤣 ), if you have a weak battery it usually fails then, when you try and start it. My Question is should i look to replace it soon?

Thanks!

Craig

A rest voltage of 12.6 or above is fully charged. Cranking voltage is nearly 10 volts which is not bad on a cold engine first start of the day especially if the vehicle has been sitting for a while. If you're seeing that on starting a warm engine it could be a problem. There are a lot of variables. You should have the battery load tested with a good battery analyzer.
