Scotty,

2010 Honda Accord EX-L V6 coupe, 167K, no OBD2 codes ...

Approx. two weeks ago the neutral dashboad indicator light has began flashing/flickering at irregular intervals in all gear positions except when in neutral. Also, just noticed that the transmission sometimes slips in reverse while backing up an incline, but not through the Drive gears. Honda service (Jenkins and Wynne, Clarksville) seems baffled and have been on the phone with tech support. As a footnote, several years ago I installed a VCM Tuner 2 to disable the 3.5L engine's VCM/ECO mode. The tuner seems to operate flawlessly and I haven't had any issues with spark plugs, catalytic converters, ect. since its installation.

What is causing these issues?  Could they be related to the the VCM/ECO disabler?

Any input/help is apprciated.

V/R,

Nathan

1st thing I would do is take the tuner out of the equation

check neutral safety switch

check transmission control module

reverse clutch could just be toast too.

The famed MountainManJoe,

Thanks for your response. I will pass the info forward ... fingers crossed.

The dealership believes that it may be the PCM ECU and is waiting for one to arrive from their parts house.
