How reliable are 2024 - 2025 MX5 Miatas? Is it worth buying MX5 vs other small sports cars? I'm looking for a "toy" car and I'm not a big guy so the car size will be perfect for me. Is it worth waiting for 35 Year anniversary Miata? Also, since I work from home, I only put about 2K-3K miles per year, so it won't be a daily driver.
Test drive all of them - Miata/BR-Z/86/Z
With your planned usage, any of them may be fine as a toy.
PS. Nobody knows the reliability of brand new vehicles.
Mazda partnered with Toyota recently, so I would expect the Miata to improve on what is already a very reliable roadster. However, nobody can ascertain the reliability of brand new cars.
Road test one and see if you like it. Are you planning to get an automatic or manual?
@kp, I'm planning on getting a manual. Never had Miata before and will definitely test drive it first. From what I hear Miata seems to be very reliable car. Not sure if there is a better option for me such as GR86, etc. under 40K.
