Hi Scotty,
Looking into a new gas 3/4 ton truck. I heard you say that you like the heavy duty Chevy trucks but was not clear if you were referring to their diesel.
My other consideration is the new Ford 7.3 pushrod gas v8. No GDI no turbo, Seems like it should last.
I would be happy with either, just looking for most likely to last the longest and be reliable. I am diligent about maintenance and tend to keep my vehicles a long time. I currently drive a 2004 Tahoe with the 5.3 and 194k miles and aside from wacky gauges and sagging headliner I have never had an issue.
