Nissan Altima 2006 2.5s (Automatic) (200,000kms)
Hi, my car shakes when put in drive but smoothens out when in neutral. There is shaking when driving sometimes not too much though. My tires are taken care of so i know it's not that. Also when going from 1st gear to 2nd, there is a slight like pull going into 2nd. Can you help me understand what's the problem? I also found out that my secondary cat has a hole but doesn't rattle, could that cause the issue?
I'll drive you have an internal transmission problem. When you put your car in neutral that disconnects the transmission from the engine. But when you put it in drive that connects it and if the transmission has an internal problem that will make it shake and drive

not saying your mounts aren't bad, but they wouldn't cause shaking

you could try a transmission shop, but it's likely just worn out. These Nissan transmissions weren't the strongest , or maybe it wasn't maintained, and you've got a lot of kms on it.
