HI Scotty, my 2005 Nissan Armada LE automatic which I bought used 10 years ago and now has around 165k miles has been acting up with the foot/emergency breaks. Basically, the problem comes up when I'm driving & suddenly the foot brake light comes on like it's depressed/used while it's still running then I press the brake to make the vehicle stop, the brake slides like a feeling of how ABS works until the vehicle finally stops. So what I've been doing is turning off the engine and when I turn it back on, most of the time, the problem goes away. Sometimes, I have to turn on/off engine several times until it goes away. This happens maybe 5 times a year. I've been dealing with this problem for years now and I can't find anybody to fix it here in Houston. Even the dealership can't fix it and declined that it's a recall problem. Please help! Thank you very much.
Steven
I assume that the brake fluid level is good. Check the brake switch.
Ya it’s definitely not a recall related problems I would also start with the brake fluid level even if it may not look overly low when it reaches towards the minimum the light can turn on. Do you ever get any abs lights coming on or anything?
