Opinion of Nissan Juke?

Hiya , hope you're doing well. I'm from Scotland. Recently bought Nissan juke 2018 , 1.5 diesel with 16k mileage on it. Had to change car quickly so took that deal without checking much about Juke. So here is what I would like to ask if it's not too much. I'm looking for Your personal opinion about this model and what would You recommend to keep an eye on, considering I'm a driving instructor making 25k miles per year , lot of start stops , how often would you recommend to do oil changes? ( I know what manual book says but that's why I'm here to find Your opinion )Is the timing belt wearing off very quickly as people say?  Basically anything what comes to Your mind about that model, any advise , any bad things/opinions appreciated. Been on 3 forums on Facebook and what other people write about Juke in general ( not my year) is terrifying. It seems by reading all that car is total crap. Personally the more I drive the more I love it. I don't like changing cars often unless I have to. Previously had Toyota Auris well looked after served me 7years, only services and brake pads changed. Absolutely brilliant car. So now I want to do the same for Juke. Thank You very much for Your time. I hope it is not a silly to ask for that favour. Much appreciated any advise. Thanks again. Tommy

The Juke is not sold with a diesel engine in the U.S. so most of us have no direct information about its failure trends here. You might want to check out general maintenance recommendations in the FAQ.

I don’t know too much about this specific car because we don’t have it stateside. From what I gather, the engine is a diesel co-developed and used by Nissan, Renault, and… Mercedes.

Mercedes historically had resilient diesels.

The one thing I am concerned with is the CVT transmission. If you got a manual, great! If it is a CVT, I know many mechanics recommend changing the CVT fluid more frequently, like every 20-30,000 miles.

Thanks a lot. I've got manual. Thanks very much for that wee short comment mate👍
