Nissan Qashqai 2009, 1.6 petrol engine, rapid clicking of dashboard lights, no starter motor noise & won't start
Load tested battery, everything seems to work.
Rocked it back and forward in gear to see if starter ring was jammed or out of sync.
If it is the battery, I have read that if you remove it you can loose codes? Keys need re-programmed etc. is this correct?

I don’t think a simple battery load test will cause you to do any damage.
Did you check all relays & wires? Make sure there isn’t any loose connections or the battery terminals aren’t corroded.
Either batterys duff or starter motors gone could be sticking selinoide get battery checked or jump start it
Load test your battery & alternator.
Do your headlights turn on bright? What about your horn?
Check all the relays & wiring to the starter.
Did your car start up as soon as you turned the key, earlier?
