Hi Everyone,

I hope you are well?

I needed your help. I purchased a Nissan Qashqai 2015 1.2L Petrol Manual about a year ago. I don't think the engine sounds right. I have attached a video link to this message so you can hear it. Please do let me know if you too think it doesn't sound right?

Many thanks

Well, it's a little louder than normal, but realize those are rather noisy engines to begin with. And as they age they get even noisier as long as it doesn't burn an excessive amount of oil or overheat you might as well just keep driving it

Hi Scotty

Thank you so much for getting back to me on this really appreciate it. Some other mechanic goes your engine is dying change it asap.

I didn't know that Nissan had loud engines. I remember when I had the Nissan Almera absolutely brilliant cars. Think now Nissan is french so standards dropped haha.

So far not noticed excessive oil, seems about right every few thousand miles need to top up but that I heard is common with these 1.2 Qashqais. Doesn't show any signs of overheating as there is no dashboard lights.

Only thing I have noticed is that it does pick up speed but sometimes feel like it struggles. Could that be due to the engine or air filer or something else?

Thank you so much for all your help on this really appreciate it. I have been worried my engine will die and ill have wasted so much money

Kind regards

Sk
