Dodge grand caravan 2009 3.3 automatic 148k miles no codes
recently replaced a leaking water pump ,radiator and thermostat. coolant is not being sucked back into the radiator.
from recovery tank. no white smoke and oil is not contaminated. Had to tighten two timing chain cover bolts
will be using snap on radiator pressure tester again to check for leaks as there are no wet spots on ground that are visible
engine runs great, just changed plugs and wires old plugs gap was .060 not .050.
am thinking i might have valley pan gasket leak
i must keep adding to radiator to keep level ok ,has not overheated yet
gauge sits at just before halfway mark this is an ongoing problem i have not been able to correct
my daughter drives this van and is not very helpful when i ask her questions
coolant is not being sucked back into the radiator.
from recovery tank
so you're saying it builds up and overflows the reservoir?
If yes then change the radiator cap.
i must keep adding to radiator to keep level ok ,has not overheated yet
well if you just changed a bunch of parts, that could just be air getting burped out.
