I have a Saturn aura v6 3.5l year 2007 190,000 miles
When i drive on the highway as soon as i get over 60 mph I hear a very faint noise like the asphalt is constantly changing texture (it isn't the road). It last for about a second and no noise for half a second with constant repeating until i get under 60 mph then it stops.
I can't tell if it is from the right or left side or elsewhere. There is no vibration from the steering wheel or elsewhere. Except for the sound the car drives 100% the way it should. I did buy this car as a private sale.
As far as i can tell it probably has been doing doing this for a long time. I usually do city driving. But since i have been doing a lot of highway driving lately,
It has me a bit concerned. Over time, It hasn't been getting worse. The windows have to be up and the radio off to hear it.
I am thinking of taking the car in to be looked at. Should I be concerned and what should i expect could be wrong?
Check wheel bearings.
ok thanks
