I can hear a rattling noise from the alternator. There are no warning lights on the dash. It has just crossed 100000 km on the odo. Please help, The Skoda dealer in Bangalore, India is asking a fortune to replace the alternator. I can email you the video.
Please make a YouTube video of the noise and post the link here. Also, please don’t double post the same question twice, thank you.

Find an independent mechanic, not a dealer, to replace the alternator with a reman.

What is the year make and model of your car?
2012 Skoda Yeti 2.0L diesel, figured it out as a bearing issue. Got it replaced for a fraction of the cost.
