I have a question about my 2015 Chevy equinox. My car has been making a sputter noise when I accelerate. It started a day ago. No lights are on, got auto zone to do a diagnostic nothing showed up. I went to a local mechanic he said the noise is coming from my engine cover not being locked, he checked it and showed me that it was loose. No issues I just hear a sputter noise when I accelerate.

Remove the engine cover and see if it still makes the noise with it off
