I know that OBD tuners don’t  really add horsepower on naturally aspirated engine, but what do you think of OBD tuners that improve acceleration by allowing the car to rev higher, is it a good idea ? {black}:idontknow:

If by "improve acceleration" you mean make it rougher and guzzle more fuel then of course you can. For thousands of dollars of course. What a deal.

Just buy a car with sport mode.

I ended up buying a 2006 Toyota Avalon and it was already too powerful for its own tires so I guess I won’t need that

I would leave the 2006 Toyota Avalon as is and not potentially compromise its reliability. If I wanted a car that could accelerate better, I would have bought a different car in the first place.

Can you post a link to that?

So basically, the OEMs need to fire their entire R&D departments..

Some cars like the Avalon and the accord v6 automatic are family cars, that are tuned to be comfy and smooth, yet you can still add a stiff suspension and tune it to be more responsive by allowing the car to reach higher rpm than stock
