1986 Chevy s10, 4x4 v6 210,000 miles

Engine sounds good, trans shifts good.

I tried to play mechanic other day, took cluster out. May have broke it, no gauges others than speedometer works now, checked fuses they seem ok. 

My check engine light also does not work now. I even checked bulb seems ok.

So is there something I can buy like maybe a obd1 adapter to obd2 to read codes? Does something like that exist?

I can fix this issue the right way later. But for now I just want to make sure I fix all possible codes.
