Off road tire suggestions

I want to get some tires that perform well off road but also ride well enough on the road, any suggestions? I do lots of highway driving, but I also spend quite a bit of time in the dirt and mud. I have a 2011 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner V6, double cab. Thanks!

For my truck which I take off-roading quite a bit and also sees lots of highway driving, I use the BFGoodrich KO2’s.  They are certainly one of the best off-road tires out there, and surprisingly have decent on-road (highway) manners - not as noisy as you would think.  I took an average of 1 mpg hit going from BFGoodrich rugged terrain off-road tires (not as aggressive tread pattern) to the K02 (more aggressive pattern for off-road).

@daywalker completely agree, those KO2s are great tires.

I tried the BFG All terrain T/A KO2. They had excellent traction and offroad/winter performance.

But my biggest issue was that they wore out VERY quickly, and have weak sidewalls. (probably very soft rubber compound). I got two sidewall punctures with them.

I switched to Cooper Discoverer ST/C and was much happier with those. There was slight reduction in winter traction (but you can stud them), and bit more noise, but they were much tougher and more durable.

Of course YMMV

That would work for me, I’m in Texas so winter driving isn’t a problem. Thanks!
