Hey Scotty, got an 2016 f250 6.2 gas that burns oil around town but doesn’t seem to on the highway. What could be causing that? Okay has 45k miles

thanks

Oil burning can be caused by a faulty PCV valve.

MountainManJoe is on it.  Who would think that this little $8 part (that everybody seems to forget about) could cause so many problems.  I install a new PCV valve at each oil change so I never have to worry about it.

From what I could find it looks like you might want to check all your spark plugs. Found someone that fixed an oil burning problem and they showed the spark plug and only some of them were in really bad shape so I would start there. If checking them and changing them if needed doesn't help hit us up on here and try and give us as much info as you can about the problem. Hopefully its something simple like the plugs need changed.

Just curious, how would bad plugs cause that? And they were changed recently, some were pretty bad but all due to be replaced
