Hello I have a 2005 Toyota Matrix with 121,000 miles. I don't drive it to many miles. I got an oil change in December of 2022 but I am just now coming up on 5,000 miles and am about to get it changed this September. Is it okay for me to wait every 5,000 miles even if that means more than six months or waiting or should I just get it changed every six months regardless if I drove less than 5,000 miles?

5,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first

I go by every 5,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first. Don’t forget to also use a premium oil filter each time.
