Hey Scotty,
I have a 2007 Mazda 3 (BK, facelift 2006) 1.6i, 105 HP, with 120,000 Km.
Every time I start the engine it idles really high, around 1500 rpm, maybe even a bit higher. After a few minutes, it goes down to 800 rpm and runs fine, maybe just a bit of hesitation when accelerating at around 2000 rpm.
Is this normal, or what could be the problem?
I cleaned the Mass Air Flow Sensor and replaced the air filter. It has a drive-by-wire throttle body, so I'm thinking of cleaning it, and also replacing the spark plugs.
What do you think?
Thank you.

That's fine, its called a cold start. Just about all cars do this.
