oil filter change

I have a 2007 Pontiac Solstice with 25000 miles. I don't drive it often and I know you said to change the oil once a year even if I don't drive it at least 3000 miles a year. Do I need to replace the oil filter also when I change the oil? I also never changed the transmission fluid, when should I change it? Thanks

Yes change the filter in case it rusts, or the element degrades. It only costs $3.

ATF wouldn't be due by mileage. But the car is 14 years old. I dunno ... I would take a sample out and see how it looks. It's probably ok as long as you the car is driven and brought up to operating temp on a regular basis.

Definitely change the filter as well.

As for the transmission fluid, @mountainmanjoe is right. Check it out but if the car has been brought up to temp enough, you are probably ok on it.
