2012 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.6 L flex fuel
I checked online for engine oil capacity, i found 5.6 L, after putting 5.6 L in it, the oil level on the dipstick wasn't even close to the ''safe'' zone, i kept adding untill it was, then started the car, shut it down, rechecked after a while, it was lower than "safe", i added more oil untill it was in the safe zone, total quantity filled was about 6.5 L
Is that even normal?
Also after doing that, the oil pressure display on the instrument cluster showed 96 psi, which i am thinking is a lil too high
Did you put in 5.6 litres or 5.6 quarts? If you put in 5.6 quarts, you were about 1/2 quart low. Do you have the standard sized or oversized oil filter?
Online i found 5.6 L, i put that and it wasn't enough, i kept adding till i reached 6.5 L in total.
I am not sure about the filter cuz i am not the one who worked on it, but i don't think it has different types of filters, i am not sure, it's the first time we work on one of these cars, they're super rare in my country
