Oil overfill - should I be worried?

The Subaru dealership service department didn’t drain the oil for an oil change and added another 4+ qts to the crank case, so 2 times the oil. Drove it about 200 miles before getting it to another dealership for diagnosing. They’ve chemically cleaned the injectors, but what about the fact that I might have had whipped oil not lubricating the motor? Should I worry about the main bearing? It had less than 25,000 miles. It seems to be idling rougher than it should.

How do you know they never drained out the old oil?

I would take the car to a good mechanic for a through engine inspection and keep all the records.

Overfilling can destroy the engine. If over filled the crank will froth the oil and you won't have proper lubrication. You will have oil pushing pass the rings causing damage to rings and sleeves. You can destroy the valves and cat on top of it. There are a few more things that can happen as well  Usually that type of damage doesn't happen unless you over fill my a lot. Usually a qt or more.

You should have taken it back to the DING DONG dealer that did this. You will have a hard time proving anything after 200 miles. Quite possible engine damage now!!!
