Hi Scotty, I have a 1991 ford 150 xlt lariat 5.0 v8 4x2 with 160k miles on it. Sometimes my oil pressure gauge is reading perfectly in the middle while driving, other times I've seen the needle drop to the lower end of the gauge in an instant on it's own. What do you think is going on? I'm using 20w50 synthetic and have the correct amount in all times. Thanks buddy.

Hello,
This is a little trickie, It could be a bad connection/ electrical fault,
Or it could be a drop in actual oil pressure,
Either way, you really need to have it checked with an external oil pressure gauge,
