I have a 2008 Chysler Town and Country 3.3ltr. With 120K miles. An old change place put in 5W 30 oil. It's suppost to take 5W 20. I was told since it was replace with the 5W 30 I have keep using that same weight oil.

So if I accidentally pour axle gear oil into my engine, then I have to keep using it for the rest of its life?
No. That's nonsense.

I would go to the store and buy a 5 quart jug of 5w-20 and a filter and then either change it myself or take it too a mechanic to change it. Then you know what is going in there. I had the same thing happen on a jeep and I changed it the same day. I would also never go back to the place that put the wrong oil in. Those are not hard to change oil on I have done several myself.
