So long story. My wife got this vehicle a year ago and the motor blew a few months later because of no oil. Light didn't come one and she's a woman so yeah. Bit the bullet put a new motor in and now paranoid I check the oil weekly and after a couple weeks I noticed it burning oil. So now we're putting a quart in over the course of a month. I replaced replaced PCV valve and vacuum line. I'm trying to do the most inexpensive stuff I can do until biting the bullet and doing rings. My question is could it be something else other than the motor since it's doing the same thing I'm assuming as the first one. The coolant system is running fine and I'm gonna do a flush just to be safe here soon. Thank you in advance.

Have you checked to see if it's leaking? Assuming the oil is being burned, since you've already replaced the PCV valve probably the least expensive thing it could be would be valve stem seals. You may want to do a compression test to get an idea of ring condition. Was the new engine a factory rebuilt? Used engine? Unfortunately Hyundai/Kia engines are prone to these kind of problems.

Yeah first thing j checked was for leaks and chocolate milky oil. I'll do valve stem seals next. And it was a used motor unfortunately but installed at kia.

Stop throwing good money after bad!

Get rid of that thing ASAP and use the money to buy yourself (herself) another decent vehicle.
