Older toyota vs older honda

Hey Scotty! I'm considering buying a 10-15 year old car as a serious commuter car (driver over 100 miles daily). I know you mentioned that Hondas have weaker automatic transmissions but some Toyota have oil consumption issues. In my position would it be smarter to go for an older camry or an older accord?

Thanks in advance!

An older Camry! Search the internet to filter out the years which the Camry had oil burning problems, and you should be good to go.

The trouble with the old Accords was they had relatively weak automatic transmissions, which may not hold up with your intended use case.

I’d get a nicely maintained Camry, if I were you.

If you stick with the 4 cylinder Camry or Accord, you really can't go wrong.  I recommend the generation during the late 90s if you want the most durable.  The 4 cylinder Camry are known to have the main seals leak but that's not hard to fix.
