Opinions on a Lincoln Mark Vii?

Hello everyone, I was looking at an old late 80s Lincoln Mark Vii at a local mechanics shop (I don’t really know anything about it, except that they’d probably give it away dirt cheap because it has been sitting outside that shop for at least 10 years and I would bet money it doesn’t run because it’s on flat tires.) I’m going to ask what’s wrong with it this week and see if they want rid of it, but I want to know what I should look for when I take a good look at it. It has no rust that I can see and no dents whatsoever, but the paint is completely shot (I have a friend who can fix that easily though). What is all of your opinions on the Mark Vii? And what should I look out for mechanically? I know this car is going to be a fixer upper, I’m just wondering what common problems it will most likely have 😂. Thanks for any help you can give me!

And what should I look out for mechanically?

What you would be getting yourself into is a project on a presumably non-op vehicle for x number of years. You could be looking at it from a broken engine/tans all the way to shoddy wiring. Nothing really to say to look out for, because of the reason it hasn't ran for at least 10 years, if that is the case it really doesn't matter what engine was in it or not, it's about whether or not you can get the thing to run first before more effort is put in.

I should mention that if you don't know basics on an engine like if you don't know how a distributor works then this is not something that you can just throw money at till it's fixed, unless you want to throw a lot of money at it. Especially if it's been at a shop. Who knows what's wrong with it.
