Hello scotty. As you would imagine I'm a huge fan, I like to think I helped you somewhat in your youtube success because I talk to everyone I know about you and your channel for years. I have a bit of a curve ball question for you. I been talking to my siblings about investing in technology recently and found out my older brother (who didn't get my scotty memo) had invested in ev and tesla. I have to agree with you in regards to the future of clean transportation that hydrogen fuel cell and solid state batteries are a more sound and reliable future. I never did make investments in stocks befor and I'm only getting older with no nest eggs to fall back on. So here's my question, BTW I'm aware you are not a financial advisor and I wouldn't hold you responsible for anything. But I do think you were born for this. You are the master of automotive and many other technologies . If you could invest in a technology stock that would be a more sound decision what would it be? I currently feel I should invest in toyotas hydrogen fuel cell and there solid state battery technologies ( assuming I can at this time) what do you think? And if your feeling any more generous than you already are( you helped people in more ways than the human mind can fathom) I ask if you can tell me what good investments you've made so a first time invester like me can have solid and stable future. Sorry for the rambling lol and God bless you and your family. And thanks for the legacy your leaving behind. Your already a living legend in my heart.
when you say "invest in", are you talking about buying a car, or securities?
Modern cars are already extremely clean.
High risk stocks when buying into the future of tech these days especially when its about the future of car companies and renewable energy. My opinion is you can invest but I am a believer in the Dave Ramsey method myself and invest in mutual funds. There will be one day where you can make some serious returns on the investments but that will be far far far in the future (most likely long gone by then). When the world realizes that its going to be a very long process when oil is removed from the picture then reality will hit the stocks hard. The thought of the infrastructure alone to be solidly on products other than oil is going to astronomical.
Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
