Hey Scotty!
we bought a 2004 Sequoia 2WD in 2014 w/70K miles. Now has 160K and overheated until performance was affected while my daughter drove it. 12” split on top of radiator. Shop said hydrocarbons in coolant, $4500 to fix. I put in new radiator, thermostat and coolant. Ran fine for a week and overheated again. Compression was 210-200 on all but #6 which was 150PSI dry, 180psi wet. Question, leak-down test, Steel Seal or head gaskets?

To rule out the head gasket issue, try the kit from Amazon and go from there:

Yep, did all that, watched video and got negative results on the chemical test. Slight indications of some water in the oil. Decided against the steel seal. Tearing the engine down now.
