Hi Scotty. I have a 2019 Ford F150 10spd automatic with the 3.5 ecoboost that has been fluctuating between 190-236° engine temp for the past few months. I took it to a Ford dealer for warranty coverage and they said they fixed/replaced the water pump and the fluctuating temperature is just "normal". Knowing that, recently I took a 11 hour trip from Florida to North Carolina and the engine kept reading 230ish and going back down so much everytime I let go of the throttle, drive at high speed, go up a hill, and or use the turbos for a few seconds (My eyes were continuously on and off the thermo gauge on a 70mph highway which really sucks). Took it to a mechanic and they said the thermostat wasn't working and was questionable about the water pump being "replaced" as it didn't look like it. Every Ford dealer nearby just hangs up the phone when I explain the situation and warranty and there is no factory thermostat for a 2019 F150 available. I need to drive back down by end of the week but am worried I will damage the engine or is already damaged enough already. Should I make the drive(is it okay to)? Or sell my truck and get something else before the end of the week?
