Hey Scotty,
My wife bought this junk before I met her and unfortunately we are dealing with this p0010 code now. It would idle above 1k in park and wouldn't give the engine power when I hit the gas, even if I pressed it to the floor. I had a local mechanic do an oil change then change out the VVT actuator and the check engine light went away with all the issues and about a month or so after that it came back on and we are still dealing with the same issues. Weirdly enough sometimes the car will work perfectly fine, even turn the check engine light off and others it will be even worse than before we had maintenance done to it. Our mechanic was saying the next step would be to change out the serpentine belt and I don't want to have to spend thousands if I can fix it myself with something simple. On top of all of this it has started to make a knocking sound coming from the engine at random times while in low rpms
PS. I would of changed out the actuator myself if Hyundai didn't make it impossible to find its location... plus it doesn't fall under the law suit for these POS's
Thank you
Some information here on Hyundais with that code - it appears there's a problem with the seals that are supposed to keep oil from damaging the sensor:

I'll have to try this out. I'm gonna have to get a engine lift/ jack to do it so it might be a few days before I'll be able to check the seal. At least I know where its located now! Thank you!
