A Camshaft Position Timing Over-Retarded Bank 1.

I own a 2010 Toyota Tacoma SR5 double cab 4X4 with 200800k or so. Assembled at Numi Motors bought it brand new from Toyota of Sunnyvale CA. I got the engine light and hill assist light in Palm Springs Ca I also got it in Shelter Cove Ca both while ascending without pulling anything. I keep my Foxwell in the center console and scanned it. I change the oil every 5k it calls for conventional oil but these days it's like gold so the only thing I find now is synthetic blend. Do I need to worry about the VVT oil control valve or Cam faser?

Thanks,

/Rob

Check for clean oil, and the OCV and VVT controller for proper function.  With that mileage, I would seriously consider a new timing chain set.  I have no trouble finding conventional oil everywhere and all day long, though I doubt synthetic blend oil is causing you any problems.
