I have a 2017 F150 2.7L EcoBoost with 193,000mi on it. I recently got a trouble code (P0299) for "Turbocharger "A" Underboost Condition." I was hearing the turbo make a strange whining/whistling noise when accelerating but I no longer hear the turbo making any noise and now I have this code. What are the common issues to cause thus code? Where should I start?
I would check the turbocharger plumbing going to the intake to see if there are any leaks or restrictions causing a loss of boost pressure. Other than that you will find troubleshooting information for P0299 below:
