Hi,
I was driving my 2010 Toyota Venza with 135k miles and the engine had flashing Check Engine Light and was running rough. I stopped and restarted the car and it ran smoothly. I scan the ecu and it came back with a P0300 code.
It has been a week of driving and the code never came back. What do you think the problem is? The spark plugs were changed at 120k miles and all service has been done so far.
Thank you.
From the look of that code it could be a lot of different things but all leading to misfires. It could been a bad batch of gas to just an accidental misfire. As long as the car is running smoothly now I wouldn't panic but it is absolutely something to keep a sharp eye out for in the future because you don't want to have your engine running rough if you don't have to. You can check the basic things like air filter for any leaks fluids or vacuum and check the battery and I would run a batch of fuel system cleaner incase is was a bad batch of fuel and to help clean up some carbon deposits and your scan tool to see if you can find anything else out of order. I've heard of these things happening and it's happened to me randomly and I know it feels scary at the moment but the time to be really concerned if it keeps doing to for any length of time. Otherwise take care of it and hopefully it doesn't come back.
