2011 Chevy Equinox Ls Automatic 2.4 180,000 miles. P0420. what are the cheaper options before replacing whole catalytic converter. Please help! What should I do first and which brands are better? I recently bought the car at a used dealership. What are your options and thoughts on my problem.

Isn't that an oxygen sensor code? Why do you think you need the cat replaced? I would replace the cat as a last option. Sometimes codes like that can be a sign of something else cause the cat should not be getting clogged at 170000. Is that the only code? Any misfire codes or anything else?
